DUNE and Cover Art

Starting in 2001 the German DUNE novels were published in a new edition. This time illustrated and with covers from scifi artist and painter Frank Lewecke. His pictures showing the imperial worlds of the DUNE Saga, alien landscapes and planets, spice world Arrakis, Caladan, Giedi Prime, home of the families of Atreides, Harkonnen and Corrino, giving the novels a new and unique touch of sense and mystery.

For European Space Agency ESA illustrations werde published in the brochure for the ITSF-project: Innovative Technologies from Science Fiction for Space Applications. This was the first publication of the painting AFRICA TOWER, later being decorated also by ESA with the Clarke-Bradbury-Award.
